Hello, sorry it's been so long since we gave you an update. we can't beleive that 2008 is almost over. We want to once again thank you for another great year of great times. There are too many highlights to list them all here, but we want to thank you for allowing us the honor of playing for you once again. A couple things really standout; of course the addition of JOHN LAVALLY to the family, the record setting crowd at "Live on the Lake", Sold out shows at Flavours everytime! 300+ people at Bogie's for ourfirst time there, another awesome Hinsdale Block Party, and of course meeting a bunch of new SMARTASSAHOLICS through out the year!
Our 2009 schedule is just about complete, it includes our return to THE DALTON DEPOT as well as THE ITAM, FLAVOURS, BOGIE'S, HAMI'S and a few more to be announced very soon! Hello, it has been awhile since we gave everyone an update and we know there are 8 billion bullshit rumors going around so we are hear to set everything straight! We understand and have given them some alternative names which they can use as to not offend anyone and allow us to play at the lake at the same time. Some of those names are; SMART, SMART A, SMART BEEP, SMART ALEX, SMART AXX. If you have any other suggestions please let us know and we will forward them on to Peter. We would like to thank the 1200 crazy people that decided to come out and party with us and Pimp at the lake last night! Even though it poured towards the end (which made it more fun) everyone had a great time! To be honest we were not expecting that many people with the remnants of Hurricane Katrina and school starting the next day. So thank you so very much! We are already planning to do it again next year!

The big news for us as our guitarist FABRI, as some of you may or may not know, he has been playing with a broken collar bone for a long time and is now going to have an operation to have it put back to where it is supposed to be. He will be out of action for about a month. We wish him a speeding recovery and can't wait to share the stage with him again. He will be at our shows and maybe we can talk him into singing a song or two! In the meantime, a very good freinds of ours BRIAN BENLIEN has agreed to fill in while FAB is healing. We would like to announce that we will be playing 2 benefits to help with relief efforts from September 11th! The first will be at Munchie's Pub in Pittsfield on Oct 7th from 1pm until ???. We will be playing with several other local bands to help. Tickets are $15, please help! The second will be Oct. 21st at Gringo's in North Adams from 1- ???
Also, you will see a container taking money to be donated to the widows and children of the firefighters and policemen lost at the World Trade Center. We the band, WILL MATCH ANY MONEY PUT IN THERE!!!!! IF at the end of the night there is $300 in the container, we will match that! And write a check out to the firefighters and policemen for $600!!!! On a happier note! DON NOT FORGET THAT HALLOWEEN IS FAST APPROACHING!!! We will be at OZZIE'S DALTON DEPOT BOTH FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26TH AND 27TH!! Well, it's almost impossible to hear the national anthem, or any other patriotic song for that matter, without getting some tears in your eyes! The horrific events of September 11th have made everyone more aware of how great this country actually is! Many have asked why they have not recieved emails etc.. from us in well over a month. First there was Fabri's motorcycle accident and then.......... We just did not feel right in sending out an email telling what was going on for the weekend, when it seemed so insignificant to what was going on in the world. We were not even sure we were going to perform up until Thursday! We are glad we did and we are glad everyone that attended had a good time!

We hope to see John and the rest of you at our upcoming shows GRINGO'S (North Adams, MA) SATURDAY, AUGUST 26TH and back home at OZZIE'S DALTON DEPOT, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8TH!!!! We will begin to book through June of next year at the end of the month, and will post it as soon as the dates are finalized. WOW!!!! That word does not even begin to describe July 7th at Ozzie's Dalton Depot. We would like to sincerely thank the over 300 people who went crazy with us there. We didn't think that many people could fit in there....then make that much noise!!!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!!!!! Pictures from the night are in our photo section , but they do not do the night justice!!!! Just an incredible night of fun and music (WITH NO FIGHTS...WHICH IS GREAT!!!!) The owner is currently trying to reschedule some bands so that we can play there again in August, check out our schedule for where and when. And please do not forget about this FRIDAY, JULY 14th at BOUSQUET SKI AREA in Pittsfield.
We would also like to thank everyone at GRINGO'S for a great night. Alittle over a hundred people had a great deal of fun, and we had a blast!!!! Sorry the flames scared some of you!!!...OOPS!! We would like to thank the dedicated people who stayed the entire night with us at the PNA!! Thank you so very much!!! We will be back on SATURDAY, JULY 29th hope to see you all there again!! Sorry there are no pictures from the PNA, Joe our camera man was feeling under the weather and couldn't make it! He will be back for all of our shows in July! Check our schedule for where and when!

Greetings!!!! Bousquet finally gave us a call and we are now playing there!!! Make sure you mark down FRIDAY, JULY 14th We will be starting at 9:30, so get there early so ya don't miss all the fireworks. We would like to thank Jason and Katie, for bugging the hell out of Bousquet management to get this date. There will be many more to follow throughout the year keep checking our schedule.
In other news, Joe took away Gary's training wheels, so now any screw ups are all his fault!!! Thank god Joe was here....this would have never happened. Oh yeah, one more thing.....THE REAL pictures from the Depot are now up...don't believe me... go check it out!! We would like to thank all of the over 100 people who attended the show last night ... wow, were you guys loud!!! It went better than we ever dreamed possible. With the holiday and everything else that was going on around the area we were amazed at the turnout for our first show. We want to thank everyone who attended for being so loud and rowdy, without causing any trouble! It was awesome!!! For those of you who missed it ... or can't remember, check out the photo section.
